Sustainability

Ola Linda was born out of a desire to make a difference in Peru while empowering women around the globe with vibrant, size-inclusive and long-lasting pieces.

Offering handcrafted products made by women in rural areas of Northern Peru, we are able to help our communities directly and provide them with the needed support and training. We diversify our production and can so help a wider group of people whilst giving every product a story. All our pieces are produced by small-scale manufacturers who are also part of our Foundation supporting them with medical aid.

A Small Initiative from Northern Peru Empowering Women in the Textile Industry

Ola Linda was never intended to be just another fashion label. Our journey began in a small village on the Northern coast of Peru, where the Pacific Ocean meets the sandy shores of Pimentel.

It was December 2023, and the Peruvian economy was facing tough times. Inflation was soaring, unemployment was high, and many were struggling to make ends meet—especially women with children and the elderly.

As summer arrived, a simple observation sparked an idea: despite the vast beach of Pimentel, there wasn’t a single swimwear shop in sight. The nearest option was a 12-kilometer drive to Chiclayo. Recognizing this need, we decided to create something more than just swimwear.

We began producing swimwear by partnering with single mothers and women from local markets and peripheral neighborhoods, providing them with the opportunity to earn a livelihood. Six months later, our first collection was launched. Each product category was handcrafted by a different woman, each piece a testament to their skill and resilience.

Ola Linda is more than a brand; it’s a movement to empower women and support local communities while empowering women around the globe with our timeless, vibrant, and size-inclusive designs.
